Art 4: Life Drawing 101s

Back in 1998 (Wow! that far back?) I used to take Life Drawing classes. I really enjoyed the classes and the art professors. Not only because I actually learned something, but because of the freeing nature of drawing. Every time I picked up the charcoal, I was amazed at how I was able to ‘see’ the model in front of me and capture some essence on the page. I’ve always felt I could do more in my drawings, but this particular piece looked almost complete and I liked the way the dark lines made the model ‘pop out.’
